Will George be a problem easily dealt with or an unstoppable threat?This is a great story once I started it I couldn't put it down. The chemistry between them is off the charts hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.I voluntarily read and reviewed this book.
This is the first time I've read a book by this author, and I really enjoyed it. The characters are interesting, well-developed and have chemistry. The story is interesting, well-written with a happily ever after. In addition to receiving an arc, I purchased the book for my collection.
Loved this book. I give it 4.5 stars but it won't let me. I loved Emma and really liked Michael.He was a hot alpha male who knew what he wanted.
‘I mean I thought it was a big deal. You don’t normally come crashing into my bedroom like that.’ ‘I didn’t crash…I knocked and tiptoed creepily.’This book had some of the funniest moments in it. From the very first page I was cracking up. However this book wasn’t just comedy, there was some suspense to it as well which I thoroughly enjoyed! Aubrey is a new to me author, I’ve previously only read one other book of hers and I have to say she is quickly becoming one of my favorites! This book has the forbidden relationship undertone as well as a friends to lovers theme. The chemistry between Michael and Emma was white hot and jumped off of the pages.Emma is a writer, working a day job as a waitress as she tries to finish up her second book. Michael owns his own businesses and graciously gave Emma a place to stay when she moved to the city. Oh, and Michael is also Emma’s ex-boyfriend’s best friend and business partner. The two have harbored feelings for each other for many years. One night, Emma’s crush is revealed, and after that there is no going back. The journey through Emma and Mike’s relationship is one you don’t want to miss! At the end of the day the question for both character’s remains, if they try and make this happen, are they ready to suffer the consequences?
Michael has had a jones for Emma since college, but he introduced Emma to George and they became boyfriend and girlfriend. Now, yeas later, Michael is 32, a club owner (with George) and his roommate is Emma. She moved in when she broke up with George. She's waitressing and trying to be a writer. She pays rent.Michael has a messed up past and George kind of made him the man he is, he owes George. But George has issues, too.An ex pops back in Michael's life, but the real issues revolve around Michael not being able to communicate his feelings toward Emma.Emma meanwhile, is moving on from George and getting her life together. Side note, they are texting each other on a DateMe app unbeknownst to each other. George pops up for some OTT drama.A good read and Michael is a good lead character.Recommend.I voluntarily reviewed this book.
A great read about two friends, Michael and Emma. Emma dated Mike’s best friend George and broke up with him when she found out he was cheating, she is now living with Mike to help her out. The two have been attracted to each other for a while and their close proximity is making it difficult for them. He wants her and she him, but his B.F. George and their history keeps them apart, until one day they can’t help each other. This makes it more complicated between them, neither of them believe in love anymore and have been hurt in the past, not only that but George keeps coming around and the paparazzi are lurking....will they figure it out.A great read with steam and a bit of suspense. I did like these two but I didn’t like the secret she kept from Mike about George and why didn’t she really tell him, and I understood why Mike didn’t trust her after everything exploded. Also what was George’s real problem, was he seeing a psychiatrist, what was his punishment and how did it all play out with the parents. Otherwise it was a great book and I did enjoy what they find out about each other on the app, sooner than later and the ending was perfect for them.*I voluntarily read an advanced copy and expressed my honest opinion*
Not quite a love triangle, but this book starts with Emma staying at Michael's place. She just dumped George, Mike's best friend and business partner, because George cheated on her. Now that she's single, she and Michael begin to tiptoe around the romantic feelings they've always harbored for one another.Things are going pretty swell for the H and h until Georgie-poo decides he wants Emma back. Once he realizes she won't just fall back into his arms (duh!), the methods he uses to break up Mike & Emma escalate and of course do cause problems between the two.I received an ARC of this book and this is my honest review of the same.
