I listened to Naomi on the bulletproof podcast and loved the interview. Immediately bought the book on Kindle. I'm a nutritionist and even though I already knew a lot of the info presented and practice it regularly...there was some pretty cool hacky things I didn't know about specific supplements, integrating protein cycling and the deeper science on autophagy. I gobbled it up!

I've been doing Keto, Intermittent Fasting, and Extended Fasting for the last 2 years. It has helped me lose 65 lbs and now my focus is really getting into my optimal health. I do quarterly EF to turn autophagy as I've read from other sources that it only gets triggered by EFs, exercise and coffee (which I dont drink). So when I heard about this book, I knew I had to get it as I want to incorporate more autophagy inducing foods - getting the ebook for only 99cents is also a huge plus! For the other reviews that mentions it contradicts with information from more well known internet health experts, Naomi has consulted with numerous experts that actually studies autophagy so I wouldnt rule them out right away. I'd say use your judgement and do your research and find what's right for you. This book is great for 'beginners' who's just starting on their journey to better health. As it provides a step by step plan, you dont need to deprive yourself completely, and you dont have to make big changes right away as with keto. Personally, I wouldn't be following the 15 day plan. I've found my groove eating keto/low carb and doing daily IF. But I got so much information and I'm definitely going to incorporate more of the foods and supplementations she has listed. Im also going to try Protein cycling. Just a bit on the con side, the earlier part of the book seems like pages upon pages of marketing for her Glow15. We already bought the book so no need for the hard sell really.

Unfortunately, nothing new for people who are already interested in nutrition. I don't need egg muffin and bacon recipes for breakfast and was hoping for more in depth info, which I didn't find. Autophagy is not a new concept and you can find more in depth writing on this topic if interested.I wish I hadn't spend my money on this book...

Let me tell you a quick summary of what this book contains:- pages and pages of promises of what the program will do for you (I am not kidding, pages and pages)- lots of boasting about the author’s equipe and her advisors being the best of the best and her meeting people who are at the top in her field- some mildly interesting facts about bergamot- some fairly well known facts about various antioxidants (though she did assemble them in one place, I suppose)- a general message that looking good is of outmost importance and that it’s ok to judge people by how they look, because it reflects how healthy they are (thanks for that BTW, because that BS isn’t yet firmly ensconced in the fabric of society enough 🙄🙄😡)- some not-entirely correct info about ketosis — but written in a way that seems to make sense; unless you learn how it actually works and then you’ll start seeing that this plan has more holes than a wheel of Emmenthaler cheese.She does have some interesting info about sleep cycles and sleep types, but that is truly the only useful info — and frankly, because of the rest of the book I am wondering if I should fact-check that.In other words, don’t bother. If you are looking for a plan that focuses on supporting detoxification and other body systems without starving, check out Ann Louise Gittleman. If you want to work your way towards Keto or a healthier version of anti-inflammatory low-carb (that doesn’t involve frankenfoods or eating no veggies, because neither of those things are healthy nor sustainable) look at Mark Sisson’s books.
